What to expect?

After you surgery, Physiotherapy initially focuses on managing your pain and swelling, gentle range of motion of your joint and assistance with getting you walking, likely with a gait aid. With subsequent sessions your Physiotherapist will progress the strengthening and range of motion exercises to ensure you regain full mobility. Finally more difficult functional and balance exercises will be added to assist you in achieving your individual goal.
